otto and cricket new friends

the other day i had a good friend come by for a visit, and she brought along her dog cricket for a puppy play date. otto had a great time. cricket is a lovely cocker spaniel who is just the right size and temperament for otto to play with and gain his dog confidence.

we started puppy school and otto was a bit out of his element with a few other large puppies being very rowdy and playful. otto just sat there and watched in shock from between our feet. and is now afraid every time we put him on the leash that we might be taking him back to the crazy large dog place. (but not until next week)

cricket used to be a show dog, but has found a more relaxed life with my friend. needless to say that cricket is very good at being groomed, and otto still has not learned how to not chase the brush.

 

by the end of the visit, and lots of tricks for food they were both worn out. otto actually almost slept for the rest of the day.
