studio update

i have been revamping and working on getting this machine to work for about 6 months now. it was a grit grinding machine but i have converted it to be a diamond pad grinding and polishing machine. i learned a lot doing this, and spent too many hours to count making it all happen. but it was worth it, as it works a treat now and i can now make all my work at my studio without having to hire a cold shop some where else.

once the machine was done i decided to start working on it right away.
i am working on the red glass sheets i wrote about before.

i decided to cut them down to squares and grind the edges and arrange them in a grid. i do like grids.  i left the edges on the top and bottom of the grid with the soft edge finish.

next week i am taking these to the water jet cutters for the final bit of work to be done and then i will show you what i decided to do. i hope it works out.
