finished concrete drawing sky

john the concreter we are working with was so excited about the next step of the project he did it without deb or i being there.

he took off the metal surround and then lifted the whole sky panel from the base concrete bed. it stuck for a moment and john thought it might be a disaster but then it just came apart, perfectly.

this is the finished result. each of the holes is where a lifter has been cast into the concrete and will be used when we position each tile into place.

i was at some doctors about my wrist when deb and john cut the sky panel into 4 pieces, so i dont have any photos of that process.

the sections have been numbered and stacked on pallets ready in preparation for delivery to site.

all in all it was a good first real go. we are learning bits and pieces all the time. it was good to start with this small unit, now we have a bit of an idea about what to expect on the larger ones.

and even though i am one arm down we are moving forward with the project, next up the middle size drawing.
