concrete drawing 2 - foam removal

we let the coloured concrete set for a couple days and then we came to the workshop to remove the foam template and clean it up ready for the second colour.

we used scrappers and screwdrivers to pull out the foam and remove the adhesive from the casting surface.

once we think we have found every foam section and cleaned it up as much as we could we vacuumed it out and were ready for the next pour in a couple days.

even though some of the sections are quite thin, 1.5cm wide they all seemed to work really well. it does mean that the second pour will take a bit of extra effort to get the concrete into those small voids and get all the air out.
