small test tile results

here are the test tiles set and ready to be revealed.

we had to knock the frame off them and then release them from the concrete surface.

 

this is the cast one colour let it sent then, dont clean it up before casting the next colour. it is ok, but not great. also known as charlies test.

 

this was the use a foam mold and pour one colour let it set just a bit and then pull out the foam and put in the second colour. also known as john's test.

 

and the put in one colour then put the next colour around it immediately and then tap the colours together. also known as deb and my test.

deb charlie and john discussing the results of the test. i think that we won this one, the fluffiness of the edges on the process we tested seems to have worked the best for the effects we are after. 

next step is to get ready to cast a real final piece.
