its day three of my residency. i am feeling settled in.

this is the accommodation. it has three bed rooms and a shared lounge room and kitchen and bathroom. this is where artists from interstate stay when hiring glassworks.
my room
the lounge room
the kitchen
and just across the parking lot from my accommodation is canberra glassworks. its an old power station that has been refitted to be a huge building entirely dedicated to glass and the various processes for working with glass.
this is the hot glass studio from the public viewing platform. apparently this place is packed on the weekends with people watching the action in the studio.
this is the 'engine room' or the room with some kilns, flame working and cold working areas. this is also the room where my temporary studio/workspace is situated. it has great light from the huge industrial windows. the public can come walk along the metal railing to see
'what the artists are doing'.
'what the artists are doing'.
these three desks that are covered in paper are my workspace for the next 5 weeks.
these are my supplies, some colour, paper, pencils and glassblowing tools and safety gear.
and yes this is how it all starts, with a list and a few notes.
i will write more about what i am doing while
i am here as it happens.
