otto update

this is obedience class. otto and borris and i attended for 11 weeks in a row.

it was great, from the hyper group of puppies on the first week, to the last week here where otto is sitting and waiting off his leash as dogs and people walk past between borris and otto.

he was always very curious about what was going on around him, but he was very good at staying put. we still have some work to do getting him to come when called no matter what, and walking on a leash to heel when there are distractions, but for a young pup he has done a good job.

otto was the youngest dog in the class and we were told by the trainer that he was impressed with our progress. yay us! we graduated last week.

this is shaggy otto, before his haircut about a month ago, i like him trim and in his schnauzer cut much better.

this image is from last week at the dog park near our place. otto is the schnauzer on the left standing. there are often many other schnauzers at the park and they all like to play together. they play in a similar way, and this is a rare moment of rest in the shade.
