on friday deb and i set off to glenelg to get to work on a small public art job for the local council. our mission was to give this signal box a new look. the signal box is located a couple of meters away from our bike shelter, so we thought we might use the same sign writers vinyl to bring the signal box in line with its new surroundings.
here is the before shot with deb in her hi-vis safety vest ready to work.
we used deb's ute with the sides of the tray dropped down as our working station and pulled up right next to the signal box. we worked on site from 10 am to 3 pm.
here are the results:
side view
back view
other side (who knew pink and red and yellows worked so well)
front view
signal box against the busy street
signal box with bike shelter in the background
its bright, but i think it looks good
the colours on this signal box compliment the colour on the vertical poles of the bike shelter
me in my hi-vis safety vest at the end of the job.
