montreal update

i have been in montreal for 4 days now. i am staying with my brother and his girlfriend at the moment. my folks arrive tomorrow and then we will be staying at an air bnb place.

so good - i wish we had these in adelaide

 

on tuesday adam was working so kayla and i went to a few galleries , art mur contemporary native canadian artists - it was good. then we stopped and had pulled pork sandwiches, (kayla had the vego version that is just as good)

then we went to the metro museum of fine arts, saw a chihuly outside

and this cool public art street installation

the artwork is made of these street markers like the ones used on the highways

 

and the cool thing is that from one side it is one colour way and from the other end it is a different colour way. i really like this piece.

after the gallery we were tired and thirsty, so i finally made good on a bet i had with my brother (i lost and owed him a beer)

 

kayla had one too.
