family size exhibtion

august is the month of the SALA festival here (south australian living artist) and our studio decided to have a group exhibition as part of SALA this year. the exhibition 'family size' is at our local pub, and was organised by one of the people in my studio.
each one of us was given a round wooden disk and asked to create our piece in this format. the show is a good visual of just how different we all are in the studio. but it works, and so does the studio.

this is the overall show. 6 artists means 6 artworks.

the fun and colourful side,

the minimal and mono-toned side,

green fake plant collage,

a graphic designers heavenly take on the studio,

a collection of tins abstract arrangement,

the very minimal new moon,

we are here, quasi scientific drawing,

and the hard to document, mirrored piece.

this mirror piece is mine. it is a mirror with a line drawing of the building our studio is on sandblasted on the back of the mirror (removing the mirror part) and then spray painted fluro pink.

a few detail shots, but again its just better in person.

Your mirrored piece is really neat, and interesting! I love the choice of pink behind the mirror. Very cool.
