meanwhile back at the studio, deb and i have been doing work on our bike racks for the city council. they get installed at 3 locations next week.
we went to one of the sites, where some ground work will be done and took a drawing of the layout of the pavers where the bike racks will go.
back at the studio we laid out these drawings and set up our bicycle and lights to create the shadow we wanted.
the shadow is drawn on the paper over the tile layout, giving us our pattern.
this pattern will be used to make a stencil so we can sandblast the shadow pattern into the surface of the pavers under our bike racks.
we did 2 different layouts, as there are 2 different designed bike racks.
next step is to hand cut the stencil in preparation for sandblasting once we remove the pavers next week.
