about 2 weeks ago i finally thinned out my carrots. i planted a heap of seeds, and most of them came up. i left them grow for some time now, but it appears that in order to get some larger carrots i needed to thin the patch out.
by thinning out the carrots really i get 2 harvests from them, first a bunch of gourmet mini carrots, good for snacking, salads and stir-fry. then hopefully in a couple more weeks, some larger carrots will be ready to enjoy too.

I like your R rated carrots! We had some pretty crazy ones that came up too and same thing - all the seeds came up so there was A LOT of thinning out. I'm glad I get to watch your garden grown while mine is now under snow!
