my march garden

it has been raining all weekend here. this has been perfect as it has now made the ground in my back garden nice and soft. While there was a bit of a break in the rain yesterday i went out and dug in some lovely black compost into the raised garden bed. (on the left hand side of the stones)

i also added some extra garden stones to walk on and the planted out lettuce (try again - hope they don't get eaten), spring onion, dill, thyme, oregano, celery, carrots, from seedlings and from seed parsnip, broad beans, snow peas, sugar snap peas, kohlarabi. i managed to save some space for the garlic and a few other seeds i just ordered from diggers.

you can also see in the photo above i have been given an outside chair and table set for my backyard.

on the right of this image is the garden i planted out in january. things are really starting to take off, the capsicum and tomatoes are growing so much and i moved my lime tree over here to get more sun. also my gourds and passion fruit seem to be growing heaps and we are already enjoying the bok choy from the garden.

my hope is that the really hot days are over now and i that it will be easier for the next month or so to get some plants established for the winter growing season.

here's hoping i have a bit of a green thumb.
