until the other day i had some curtains i borrowed from borris' house hanging in my front window. bu they were too long and a very ugly colour green. since i have made curtains for upstairs i could now use the fabric i had pinned up over that window to make some proper curtains for my front room.
these curtains were relatively straightforward compared to all the issues i had with my attempt at roman blinds. i kept it simple this time and we had them hanging by the end of saturday night. they have a 60% block out lining them. you can still see through the front door even with the bamboo blind hanging up. but it is much more private and functional in this room now.

i think for now i have had enough of curtain making, but not for long as the ones in borris' house need replacing too.
