tasmanian holiday photo extraveganza!

borris and i went on a holiday to tasmania last week.

this is the view from our hotel room in hobart.

we came to visit borris' family and visit MONA.
this is the ferry to MONA.

this is hobart from the ferry

this is the bridge that spans the bay in hobart.

this is MONA, the museum is under ground built inside the rock face on the right side of the image. it was amazing, if ever in hobart go.

then borris and i hired a car and drove north to stay with his family. this is the great lake.

this is the nut in Stanley.

and this is borris and his family setting off to hike up the nut on Stanley.

me on the nut and the town of Stanley below.

view from the nut.

another amazing view from the nut.

then we went to the dismal swamp in the tarkine.

to get to the boardwalk you take this slide through the canopy. it was fun.

this is the kind of scenery in the dismal swamp.

we also had time to go for lots of walks, to the beach, with borris and the boys playing with make believe guns from found sticks.

hiking in near by creeks, and canyons.

and generally had a good time. even though at times it was a bit chilly, visiting tasmania in the autumn was great. i definitely want to visit again.
