the other day in the studio i spent most of my time using cardboard to make what is either one of my best ideas yet - or i have taken procrastination to a whole new level.
this is the floor plan for the gallery space i have an exhibition in next year.
these are the walls of the gallery space. i have made this cardboard model to scale, 10 cm is equal to 1 meter. so the back wall is 51.5 cm in the model, or 5.150 meter in real size.
and these two gallery goers are there to help with the scale. the girl has the same haircut and height as me. i am using this space to plan out what i want to make and to make sure that what i am making will fit the space and the layout will work. this is the only way i know to move forward in my work. i need to know how the show will look and where the work will be as i make it.
watch this space to see some to scale models of the work i am planning to make.
i know its work but it is fun too, it makes me smile, this miniature exhibition i am working on.
