yesterday i spent the day with my pal Fruit Salad Fabric at her place. we planned a day of sewing to finish off some projects we had started. this is roughly 5 hours into our day, her project almost complete and mine in the background roughly half way done.
i was making a patchwork for a quilt for my bed, i had the vertical rows stitched together already and just needed to join them all to make the quilt. this took me from roughly 10:30 am to 8pm, with a short break around 12 for lunch. fruit salad fabrics was making a window blanket or a covering for the window that help keep the cold out.

this is my patchwork finished. i just need to make the backing now. while sewing it all together i decided that because of the size i would get it machined quilted. the finished size is 2.66 meters wide and 2.54 meters long. perfect fit on the bed.
i will try to get a visit of the machine quilters in and post some images of the real finished project i hope in a few weeks.
