i don't do it alone

when most people blow glass they don't do it alone. usually you have an assistant who helps with all manner of things, from glassblowing, to getting water to drink, to good conversation, sharing of opinions and even decision making in the process.

my assistant is my friend kumi and she is great. it is just as much work for her as it is for me and if you have a bad assistant it can be hard to blow glass. kumi helps make it easier and offers me lots of support.

i made the cup she is holding. i think it is an ugly pattern and colour combo and it is very big. kumi said she liked it so i gave it to her.
